Friday Finance Challenge

I going to make this short and sweet by reminding of all the headlines you've seen over the last few months proclaiming that the average U.S. citizen has exactly $0.00 million dollars in savings.

Do you want to be that person who runs out of money, because you overspent or (knock on wood) because you lost your job, and has to move onto the couch of your nasty bachelor cousin's couch? I sure as heck don't (that couch is GROSS man).

So this Friday I challenge you to take some money from your next paycheck and open a high yield savings account, either online or at a local bank branch. I know I'm going to do it. I will do pretty much anything to stay off of Mike's couch. He's a nice guy and all, but let's just say I know why none of the girls he dates stick around. Or move in. Seriously, the couch needs to go. And so do you - to open a new bank account.
