Not A Leap Year

This February only has 28 days (sorry February!) And I just thought I would take a minute and reflect on what makes leap years awesome:

#1. My number one reason that leap years are awesome is because there is a song about them in the opera, The Pirates of Penzance. Which was made into a movie in 1983 and stared the very talented and funny Kevin Cline as the pirate king and Angela Lansbury as the well meaning, hard of hearing nursemaid of the main character who was supposed to be apprenticed to a pio-lot, not a pire-rot. Get it? Anyway - check it out.

And, as you will notice on this nifty movie poster it even went so far as to OPEN in February! I so planned that.




#2. Frogs get the love that they really deserve. I mean, who came up with that whole "you have to kiss a bunch of toads to find your prince" thing anyway? Has anyone stopped to consider that your prince might just BE a toad (in form only, not in his manners)? It's slander, I tell you. Slander!









#3. You get to be part of a club! How much cooler than you get?
